The health and safety of our participants is a priority at all Qiang Shan Ba Gua Zhang Association events. We want to ensure everyone can train safely while minimizing the risk of illness. Below is our COVID-19 policy, based on the most recent CDC guidelines (as of September 2024), along with additional precautions specific to our event environment.
If You Test Positive for COVID-19
- You must stay home if you have a fever. You may return to the event after you have been fever-free for at least 24 hours without fever-reducing medication AND your symptoms are improving.
- If you still feel sick, please rest and avoid attending until you are well enough to participate.
If You Recently Tested Positive But No Longer Have a Fever
- You may return to the event if your symptoms are improving.
- However, you must:
- Avoid close-contact partner drills until fully recovered.
- Maintain extra distance from others when possible.
- Practice good hygiene, including frequent hand washing and covering coughs/sneezes.
General Health & Safety Precautions
- If you feel unwell (COVID-19, flu, RSV, or any illness), consider taking a break to rest and recover.
- We encourage frequent hand washing and sanitizing before and after training.
- If someone appears unwell, instructors may ask them to sit out of activities.
Changes to Guidelines
- If CDC recommendations change before the event, we will adjust our policy accordingly to follow the best available health guidance.
While COVID-19 is no longer as severe for most people, we aim to keep the training environment safe and enjoyable for everyone.
